Academic Camps

STEM Camp: June 9-13, 2025

The STEM Camp is a half-day camp for rising 6th-8th grade students where campers participate in fun hands-on learning activities related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The specific camp areas within STEM will include Microbiology, Forensic science, Health sciences, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Nursing, Environmental Science, and Engineering as well as others. Each camper will receive a STEM Camp t-shirt and daily snacks will be provided along with an end-of-camp pizza party. Campers are selected on a first-come, first-served basis with only 32 campers being accepted. Visit our Registration link for information and registration.

Gen. Shelton Leadership Camp: June 22-27, 2025

The General Shelton Leadership Camp is a one-week summer residential experience for rising freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors in high school that takes place on the campus of Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C. The Shelton Camp is designed to help students expand their knowledge and skills of what it takes to be an effective leader. General Shelton’s cornerstones of values-based leadership – honesty, integrity, compassion, diversity, and social responsibility – are the foundations of the experience. The core curriculum focuses on leadership roles and accountability, team building, leadership styles and situations, social responsibility, integrity as a leader, public speaking, changing behaviors, and goal setting. PGA Golf Management College Summer Experience: July 7-10, 2025

The PGA Golf Management College Summer Experience is a four-day residential program for rising high school juniors and seniors that includes the following:

  • Engagement in team building activities with other students with similar education goals
  • Sample key courses required to obtain the PGA Golf Management designation
  • Receive enrollment information
  • Instruction from PGA Golf Management
  • University Program staff, students, and alumni
  • Participation in golf activities
  • Opportunity to live in a university residence hall
  • Preview of university life
