Degree Type:
Bachelor’s Degree
Mode of Study:
On Campus

Our program leads to a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, or Financial Economics with a concentration in PGA Golf Management. The PGA Program requires each student to successfully complete the PGA Playing Ability Test (PAT) and levels 1, 2, and 3 of the PGA 3.1 curriculum, and sixteen months of internships while attending Methodist University.

From the beginning of the Program in 1986, to the accreditation from the PGA of America in 1999, Methodist University’s PGA Golf Management Program has been a leader in producing college educated PGA Professionals who want to pursue a career in the golf business.  The success of our students and alumni is one of the main factors contributing to the Program achieving national recognition.  The Program has prided itself on having the largest PGA staff with six PGA Professionals (113 combined years of experience at Methodist University and 126 combined years of membership in the PGA) providing students with unlimited golf instruction, a variety of teaching methodologies and real-world application. In addition, the on-campus golf course known as “Downback” is for the exclusive use of PGA Golf Management students, and includes a practice facility with short game area, putting green, bunkers, and 65 hitting stations.
