The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi recently named Methodist University a recipient of the 2023-24 Circle of Excellence chapter awards, recognizing MU’s chapter for its work in promoting excellence on campus while engaging a community of scholars. Methodist University was one of 74 universities to make the list and one of 24 universities to be considered a “gold” chapter.

Phi Kappa Phi is a national honor society established in 1897 to recognize and promote academic excellence in all disciplines of higher education. Methodist University’s Phi Kappa Phi chapter was created in 2017, becoming the 10th chapter in North Carolina.

“We are thrilled to have such talented and dedicated students in our chapter of Phi Kappa Phi,” said Dr. Meredith Gronski, president of MU’s Phi Kappa Phi chapter and director and associate professor of Occupational Therapy. “The students and faculty members who participate in the chapter exemplify the ‘love of learning’ motto through our service projects and notable member accomplishments.”
