Some of the top business and faith leaders from across the region convened at Methodist University’s Matthews Ministry Center for the Greater Fayetteville Chamber’s first “Quarterly Prayer Breakfast” of 2024.
Approximately a hundred business owners, executives, pastors, religious leaders, and community members attended the non-denominational breakfast at Methodist University’s campus on Tuesday morning. Held each quarter, the breakfast includes a morning of reflection, inspiration, and fellowship.
“We love sharing this partnership with Methodist University to host this event,” said Brian Pearce, chairman of the Greater Fayetteville Chamber and vice president of facilities and emergency management at Cape Fear Valley. “Since MU is a faith-based institution, it seemed like the perfect place to host our Quarter Prayer Breakfast. It is a great partnership.”
Along with a catered breakfast from Chick-fil-A, the event included prayer, scripture reading, praise and worship, and some encouraging words from three guest speakers:
- Pastor Joshua Goodman (Cliffdale Christian Center)
- Pastor Ernest Jones (True Vine Ministries)
- Pastor Chris Fletcher (Manna Church)
Also, Dr. William Walker, MU’s vice president for Student Affairs & dean of students, had an opportunity to address the attendees.
“Methodist University welcomes the Greater Fayetteville Chamber with open arms,” said Walker. “It’s exciting to see our community come together to pray for our community. It’s important for us, as leaders, to pause and reflect during this season.”
The next Quarterly Prayer Breakfast is slated for April 23 at Methodist University’s Matthews Ministry Center. For more information, visit the Greater Fayetteville Chamber events calendar.
