Methodist University’s Reeves School of Business & Economics hosted the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Southeastern North Carolina Regional Leadership Conference–welcoming more than 400 middle and high school students.
Hundreds of young students boosted their business and leadership skills while visiting Methodist University’s sprawling campus today.
Methodist University’s Reeves School of Business & Economics hosted the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Southeastern North Carolina Regional Leadership Conference– welcoming more than 500 middle and high school students from Cumberland, Hoke, Scotland, Robeson, Bladen, and Columbus counties.
“We are honored the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) selected Methodist University and the Reeves School of Business & Economics for this regional event,” said Dr. Mary Kirchner, head of the Reeves School of Business & Economics. “We hope the students enjoyed their experience and return to MU in the future.”
Students had an opportunity to participate in workshops and competitive events, all while walking around and getting a glimpse into life at Methodist University.
“It’s a privilege to be here at Methodist University and interact with the community,” said Kaylee Ivey, a sophomore student from Overhills High School in Spring Lake. “It’s a great opportunity to interact with others. Methodist University is nice, and I really like it.”
Methodist University’s renowned Reeves School of Business & Economics houses seven undergraduate academic programs: Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Financial Economics, Management, Marketing, and Sport Management. Students can also concentrate in Health Care Administration, PGA Golf Management, Professional Tennis Management, and Sport Management. The school also features four fully-online programs: Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, and the Master of Business Administration.
