From Nov. 4-8, Methodist University’s Military and Veterans Appreciation Week includes a variety of events on campus, including a wreath-laying ceremony, special breakfast event, cookout, and more. MU’s Physical Therapy Department will also host its annual “Step Up Challenge” the following week on Veterans Day.

As Veterans Day approaches (Nov. 11), Methodist University is proud to honor our heroes with an entire week of remembrance and thankfulness.

“We celebrate Military and Veterans Appreciation Week at Methodist University as an important tradition that acknowledges the sacrifices and contributions of our students, faculty, and staff,” said Rocio Serna ’18, coordinator of MU’s Military & Veteran Services, who served in the U.S. Army from 2004 to 2014. “We hope this week’s activities encourage reflection, conversation, and celebration for those who have served in commitment to our country.”

Salute to Service: Veterans receive free cup of coffee (Berns Student Center, all day)

CIRCUIT’s Have You Heard the Voices: Veteran Wisdom and the Book of Proverbs (Matthews Ministry Center, 11 a.m.)
