Light Messages Publishing recently released “The Shelf Life of Fire,” a novel by Methodist University English and writing professor Robin Greene. The novel, the first in a planned trilogy, explores gender identity, female sexuality, and the courage required to examine one’s life. The novel takes place in present-day North Carolina but looks back to the turbulent 60s and early 70s of New York City.
Greene, who is also director of the Methodist University Writing Center, publishes regularly in literary journals, and her collection of birthing narratives, “Real Birth: Women Share Their Stories,” is available on Amazon. Greene teaches yoga and offers an annual women’s writing, meditation, and yoga retreat in Mexico. She has presented over a hundred workshops, readings, and presentations. Greene is available for author visits, book club discussions, readings, and workshops.
