Lot Restrictions
All lots are reserved for the assigned students, faculty, and staff members Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. After 3 p.m., the color-coded restriction is lifted. Faculty and staff reserved spaces remain enforceable until 5 p.m.
Visitor & Prospective Student Parking
Visitors who have cleared the Welcome Center may park in any lot on campus, any time of day or night. Prospective students and their families have reserved parking immediately in front of Stout Hall, the home of Admissions and Financial Aid.
Appealing a Parking Ticket
Go to the myMU Portal and submit the form found under Student Home > MU ID Cards & Parking Pass. Remember, you only have three (3) business days to appeal a parking ticket – don’t delay!

Registering a Vehicle
Methodist University students, faculty, and staff members are required to immediately register with the Department of Public Safety all vehicles parked or driven on campus.
Online Registration
You must register your vehicle for campus parking online via the myMU Portal. For faculty and staff, click on the “Forms and Documentation” area. Students, once you’re on the portal, click on the “Student Home” tab, then open the “MU ID Cards & Parking Pass” link and follow the directions. If you have any questions, please call our office at 910.630.7149, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
After you register through the myMU Portal, go to the Department of Public Safety’s office in the new Campus Services Building Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Campus Services Building is located east of the Duggins Soccer Stadium and south of Clark Hall and the Nursing Building.

- Academic Year: $180.00
- Single Semester: $100.00
- Academic Year (PA/OT/PT): $45.00
- Single Semester (PA/OT/PT): $25.00
- Academic Year (Other Graduate Programs/Online): $20.00
- Single Semester (Other Graduate Programs/Online): $15.00
- Summer Session: $50.00
- Additional Vehicle: $25.00
Methods of Payment
Customers may pay with credit cards when registering vehicles via the myMU Portal. Cash, checks, debit, and credit cards are accepted at the University’s Student Financial Services, located inside the Horner Administration Building.
Replacing a Registration Decal
Remove the campus parking registration decal as best you can and bring it to the Department of Public Safety’s office Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. for replacement. You will need to re-enter your vehicle information in your myMU Portal.
