Friday, March 28, is MU’s next date to serve breakfast downtown, alongside the staff at Operation Inasmuch. Operation Inasmuch is a worldwide organization that endeavors to minister to “the least of these” and share God’s love by serving others in many different ways. As a dedicated partner with Fayetteville Operation Inasmuch, Methodist University is committed to serving breakfast to the homeless on the second Friday of every month and other special events when requested. (This date was swapped due to the second Friday of March falling during Spring Break at MU.)
Please RSVP to Ruth Carr ([email protected]) at your earliest convenience if you are interested in joining the MU team on Friday, March 28th at 7 a.m. Typically, we are back on campus by 9:15 a.m., if that helps you plan. (In other words, while we want all volunteers to stay the entire time, don’t let a 9 a.m. class keep you from serving – anyone who must be on campus for a 9 a.m. class can leave in time to do so.)
Volunteers are asked to arrive at the site (531 Hillsboro St. Fayetteville, NC 28301) no later than 7:10 a.m. for instructions. Parking is available in the church parking lot directly across from the Operation Inasmuch building. Volunteers may enter through the front door. If you find it locked, please go around the right side of the building to the back entrance of the dining area. Parking at the back entrance is permitted but typically filled by the time we arrive, due to cooks and other staff who arrive earlier than 7 a.m.
