Bio:

Dr. Pope began her nursing career 19 years ago, first as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), then an Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN, RN), to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, (BSN), and graduated from University of Phoenix with a Master of Science in Nursing Education/Healthcare Administration.

Dr. Pope later returned to Bradley University in 2017 to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), including a major in leadership. She presented her doctoral research on Incivility in Nursing Students: Increasing Awareness and Improving Student Communication, at the Midwest Nursing Research Conference, 2020 in Peoria, Ill. Dr. Pope is currently preparing for Certified Nurse Educator Exam.

As a nurse educator, Dr. Pope has taught in an Associate Degree of Nursing Program, and Practical Nursing Program. Practical Nursing, I, II, and III. Fundamentals Nursing, Adult Health I, Adult Health II, and Maternal-Newborn Nursing. Her clinical experience includes working as a Medical-Surgical nurse, Maternal-Newborn nurse, Home Health and Hospice nurse, Public Health nurse, Long-term and Rehabilitation nurse. Dr. Pope special interest in nursing education include holistic nursing care  approach, civility research in healthcare education and inter­professional clinical experiences.

Dr. Pope’s personal interests include reading, participating in community events, traveling, and
spending time with her two beautiful daughters, family, and friends.
