Dr. Quincy Malloy

Bio:

Dr. Quincy Emmanuel Malloy Sr. is originally from Bennettsville, S.C. He attended the public schools of Marlboro County and graduated from Marlboro County High School in 1998. He played both baseball and football in high school, excelling in football. After high school, he matriculated to Methodist University. While at Methodist University, he earned many athletic honors including being a two time-time Division III All American and being inducted into the Methodist University Hall of Fame in 2010.

Dr. Malloy played Arena Football in Fayetteville for 12 years with the Cape Fear Wildcats, the Fayetteville Guard (which in 2007 were the indoor football champions for the NIFL League), and the Cape Fear Heroes, which won the Arena football championship in 2012 and 2017.

Dr. Malloy graduated from Methodist University in 2002 with a B.S. Degree in Sociology with a minor in Paralegal Studies. He also has his master’s degree in Higher Education from Walden University in 2014, and he earned his terminal degree in Education Leadership from Fayetteville State University in 2020.

After graduating from Methodist, Mr. Malloy worked in the mental health field as a case manager for 10 years. He began his career at Methodist University as the Director of Testing and Tutoring and overseeing the Accessibility and Disability Resources Department alongside coordinating academic support for the entire Athletic department. He currently is the Chief Diversity Officer for the University, where he sits on the president’s cabinet to advise him on Diversity Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
