Bio:
Katherine Jones, EdD, OTR/L, CLT-LANA, CWT, is an assistant professor, Program Director of the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program, and Chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy at Methodist University. She teaches courses on pediatrics, teaching and learning, and occupation-based community programming. Dr. Jones’ research focuses on maternal mental health, lymphedema management, sensory self-regulation, and innovative occupational therapy curriculum design.
With 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Jones has worked in acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, home health, outpatient, and school-based therapy. She specializes in oncology and survivorship, adapted play, lymphedema care, and psychosocial wellness. A Certified Lymphedema Therapist through the Lymphology Association of North America (CLT-LANA), she has presented on lymphedema management, self-care strategies, and psychosocial considerations in survivorship. Her recent projects include curriculum development in occupational therapy education and exploring anatomy instruction methods for OT students.
Dr. Jones earned an EdD in Adult Teaching and Learning from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, an MA in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California, and a BA in Music from the University of Portland.
