Bio:

Jalisha Pone has joined Institutional Advancement as Senior Director for Development. She will oversee the development and execution of donor engagement strategies to meet the University’s fundraising goals. A native of Cumberland County and daughter of MU alumni—Gerald and Broxie Pone (both Class of 1982)—Pone earned a dual bachelor’s degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management and Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master of Public Administration from NC Central University. She is also working on her doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Prior to joining MU, she worked in development and fundraising at NCCU, Fayetteville State University, and the American Cancer Society.
