Bio:
Andrew Treague Prieto is a Cuban American artist and curator. He graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City with an MFA in Art Practice, where he had a one-to-one mentorship with Elizabeth Sussman, Chief Curator of Photography and Digital Media at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
His work has been exhibited nationally and featured in publications such as Art.net, ArteFuse, Bemoreart, Burnaway.org, Hyperallergic, New American Paintings, and Studio Visit Magazine.
Prieto’s concentrations of teaching and research emphasize foundation studies, transdisciplinary practices in arts education, and collaborative pedagogy. His curatorial intent is to help contemporary artists create space for their work.
