Social Work Curriculum
Major Requirements
Students majoring in Social Work must earn a final grade of C or better in all courses with a SWK prefix as well as ENG 1010 (Composition) and ENG 1040 (Composition and Rhetoric).

Child Welfare Collaborative Requirements
Achieve a grade of B or better in the required core course, SWK 3750 Child Welfare (3 credits), as well as:
- Successfully complete an interview with the Child Welfare Collaborative Committee
- Complete all requirements for the Social Work major
- Complete a Field Placement in a NC Department of Social Services Child Welfare Setting.
