The program in Health Care Administration recognizes the need to balance theory and practice. During students’ senior year, they participate in an internship. Under the preceptor’s guidance in a health care facility or other related health service organization, students work hand-in-hand with an experienced health care administrator and develop one or more specific projects for the organization. Recently students have worked for large medical group practices, within the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and for governmental health care agencies, during the academic year, as well as during the summer.
