Student Staff

Writing Consultants

	Caitlyn is a senior English Education major here at Methodist. She is a commuter and plans to teach here in NC after graduating. Her interests include reading, spending time with her cat, and traveling to new places.
	Gabby is a graphic design major at Methodist. She enjoys watching anime, reading, and drawing during her downtime. Gabby is the president of the Visual Arts Club on campus.
	Jonathan is in his third year here at Methodist studying History Education. He is going into his third year working for academic support and his second year working as a student writing consultant. He is also a member of the football team and a member of Lambda Chi Alpha.
	Katie is a Senior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in PGA Golf Management and a minor in Psychological Aspects of Sports and Coaching. She is also the President of MUBU, Methodist’s LGBTQ+ Club. This is her second year working in the Writing Center and she is excited to continue working with fellow students to increase their love of writing. Outside of the Writing Center, you can find her on the golf course, in the Quad, or playing video games with friends.
	Kaylee is a senior majoring in criminal justice and forensic science. She has served as a research assistant and co-authored two publications while working for the department of criminal justice. She plans to attend graduate school in the fall. Kaylee is a leader of Delight Women’s Bible Study here on campus. She enjoys playing volleyball and riding horses in her free time.
	Kiley is a member of the Women’s Basketball team here on campus. She is involved in many other extracurriculars, including Black Student Union; Morgan’s Message; Student Athletic Advisory Committee; and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Kiley is an avid reader and writer who enjoys working with and helping others. She is thrilled and excited to be part of the Writing Center team this year.
	Thora is an international student from England and Norway, she is currently majoring in International Relations. On campus, she is part of the Honors Program and Student Government Association. In her free time she enjoys reading, hiking, cooking and watching TV.
	Tucker is a sophomore from Fayetteville, majoring in Business Administration and Political Science. On campus, he is involved in the Honors Program, Student Government Association, Residence life (as an RA), University Ambassadors, and Lambda Chi Alpha. Following graduation, Tucker wishes to commission into the United States Armed Forces and later pursue a career in politics. In his free time, he enjoys reading classic novels, watching movies and TV, and spending time outdoors.

General Tutors

	Aida is an international student from Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is currently a junior majoring in Computer Information Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity and minoring in Digital Forensics and Data Science. Aida is a Global Ambassador for Semester at Sea and is a member of both the International Club and Computer Science club. She enjoys traveling, reading, and helping people understand difficult topics in Computer Science and Math. She is very excited to work with you!
	Ana is an international student from Guatemala, a country at the south of Mexico. She’s a junior double majoring in Industrial & Systems Engineering and Mathematics, which means you’ll find her either in Hendricks or Allison. She’s in the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Engineering, and Environmental clubs.
	Angeline is a junior majoring in healthcare biology. Some hobbies that she enjoys are singing, traditional and digital art, and reading mysteries. She is a member of the MU Chorale and she is very passionate about her studies. Angeline hopes to aid any student with biology, chemistry, or math-related topics to the best of her ability.
	Camden is a sophomore majoring in Industrial & Systems Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. He is a member of the Methodist University Men’s Soccer team. Camden’s main hobbies outside of school and athletics are composing and writing music and playing videogames. He knows math can be hard sometimes, but with practice and commitment, he is sure anyone can succeed.
	Charles is in his last year studying Computer Science, Mathematics, and Data Science at MU. Methodist University has always been the school he thought he would attend as he grew up in Fayetteville. When not attending classes, Charles can often be found in the library or hanging out at events such as Ignite. Outside of school, he loves talking with friends, playing video games, and helping out at church. He looks forward to helping you succeed this semester, but please feel free to say hello even if you do not need a tutoring appointment!
	Grace is junior here at Methodist University majoring in health care Biology. Around campus she is a residential assistant in Garber Hall and she also is a member of the orchestra ensemble. Her career goal is to become an ENT.
	Hannah is a junior studying Middle Grades Education with a concentration in Mathematics. She is a believer and is a leader at Ignite, the student ministry on campus. You can find her at events like FCA, women’s Bible study, and Global Cafe. She loves reading her Bible, riding bikes, and hanging out with her siblings. When she graduates, she wants to work in the school system and eventually start her own school, on whatever path the Lord leads her.
	Heba is majoring in Political Science and minoring in Legal Studies and history. She plans to pursue a joint J.D./Ph.D. in Political Science after completing her undergraduate studies. In her free time, she particularly enjoys reading, running, writing, and baking for people! As for the soundtrack to her life, it’s hard to beat the timeless artistry of the Beatles and David Bowie.
	Iqbal is an international student from Somaliland and she enjoys watching movies and tv shows (Marvel movies, Criminal Minds, and the Harry Potter series). Iqbal is a math tutor and will do her best to help you. She is currently learning Spanish and she’d appreciate any practice she can get.
	Jakob is a math tutor at Methodist University. He is triple majoring in Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science. After graduating, he plans to attend NC State and study Computer Engineering. One of Jakob’s greatest experiences while at Methodist University has been getting to assist students struggling with math. He is passionate about being able to guide other students to success and learn more about mathematics in the process.
	Joey is a financial economics and Business Analytics major. He is a member of the baseball team. In his free time, he likes snowboarding and going out on boats.
	Nour is an international student from Lebanon. She majors in Mathematics and minors in Data Science. For assistance in Math or Intro Economics Classes, look no further-she is your go-to tutor! Beyond her academic interests, Nour loves yoga and card games. Whether you want to book an appointment or just say hi, don’t hesitate to reach out if you spot her in the library!
	Toluwani is an Engineering senior and a Math tutor. He loves swimming and dancing. He is also a student entrepreneur and loves working on his business during his free time. He is passionate about math and would love to help anyone who needs help in Algebra and Precalculus.
	William is a 4th year computer science senior with a minor in data science. He is ready to help build math and computer programming skills. Outside of the classroom he likes listening to music and playing tennis.
	Zack is a senior biology major/chemistry minor specializing in healthcare. He is on the executive board of multiple campus organizations including Delta Sigma Phi fraternity and Greek council. In his spare time, he likes to read and play video games.

Graduate Tutors

	Ashton is currently a second-year Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Methodist University. In her free time, she enjoys reading and going on runs around campus!
	Diamond is a second-year year occupational therapy student at Methodist University. She is in the Student Occupational Therapy Association and serves as promotion co-chair. In her free time she enjoys reading and spending time with her pet yorkie.

Student Representatives

	Katherine is a senior here at Methodist university. Her major is Sports Management with a minor in Business Administration. She has a dream of becoming an NBA sports agent. Some hobbies of hers include cooking and watching basketball.
	Lauren is a junior in the education department studying elementary education. She hopes to get a job in Cumberland County when she graduates.
	Qirani is a freshman at Methodist University, majoring in Political Science and International Relations. He is passionate about human rights and has worked as a prosecutor for Yazidi genocide survivors, worked on sexual abuse cases, advocated for justice and accountability, and led initiatives supporting displaced communities in Iraq and East Africa. Qirani is a Davis Scholar Global Winner. He graduated from UWC East Africa with an International Baccalaureate degree and earned a Cambridge degree in International Studies in Iraq. He also served in the Iraqi army as a Security General Maintenance Officer. Qirani speaks six languages. He also holds awards for promoting gender equality and excels in creative arts and sports.
	TyQuan is a sophomore majoring in Exercise Science. He is on the MU football team, and his hobbies include reading the Bible/focusing on Jesus, spending time outdoors, watching sports and TV shows (like anime), and enjoying food!

CHAMPS Peer Assistants

	Lynsey is an Accounting Major with a concentration in Health Care Administration. She plans to become a CPA and work in Audit Public Accounting as a start to her career. She values friendships with peers and building business connections with professionals. In her free time, she plays softball, goes to the gym, tans by the pool, and does arts and crafts.
	Jendayi is a biology major with a concentration in healthcare. She plans to go to medical school after undergrad to begin the next steps toward becoming a pediatric surgeon.
	Jarius is a Junior at Methodist University pursuing his major in business and minor in entrepreneurship. He enjoys reading, learning, video games, basketball, and quality time with family.

Social Media & Marketing Coordinator

Caroline is from Raleigh, N.C. She is a senior Graphic Design student with a minor in Marketing. After graduating from MU, she plans on pursuing her master’s degree in Interior Design. Caroline’s favorite color is pink, and she loves anything with floral designs. She is also one of the most joyful people you’ll ever meet and loves to serve others with kindness.
