The group will meet once a month—date and time to be determined by group members—for a two-hour workshop.
At the group's first meeting—and subsequently at every fourth meeting (for a total of three times a year)—the group will host a credentialed writer to offer an informative presentation on some technical aspect of writing. This meeting will be a three-hour meeting—the first hour for the credentialed writer's presentation and the following two hours for the workshop.

The group will have a moderator who will make sure that new members are introduced and welcomed, and that all members are served.

The group will meet on the Methodist University campus, time and place TBA.

Group members' work may be posted through the Veterans Writing Collective website, sponsored by Methodist University, which will also post a bibliography of books and articles (related to war and to the military), and a list of relevant professional resources. In the future, the group might decide to find other homes and/or formats for sharing and posting their work. When appropriate, the group will offer public readings of their work on the MU campus or at other locations.

The Veterans Writing Collective will hold its first meeting on January 12, 2013, 2-4 p.m. at Methodist University in the Trustees Building, Room 340.
