We'll talk about the research process:
choosing a subject, gathering sources, and creating a thesis statement. Assistant Director of the Library Angela Duncan will be on hand to explain the library's role in research.

Part Two: How to Use Research
+Quick Tips on Stress-free Writing

We'll talk about how to use the research you've found to strengthen your argument. We'll also talk about incorporating and citing sources. A representative from the Center for Personal Development will offer tips for handling stress.

The Writing Center produces a seven-part Dirty Dozen workshop series every semester. These free, 45-minute workshops are designed to help writers recognize and avoid common grammatical errors. To attend a workshop, simply show up at the appointed place and time of the session, as detailed below. There is no pre-registration or sign up required.
