Is the consultation time you wanted already taken?
Throughout the semester, the Writing Center's calendar can fill up as much as a week or more in advance. If you cannot find an appointment time that works for you, here are your options:

• Continue to check online several times a day. Students cancel appointments, which then become immediately available.
• Put yourself on the waiting list for the day or days you want. Click here for Waiting List instructions.
• Try to be seen as a walk-in. Come to the Writing Center at the top of the hour and let us know you are hoping to see a consultant. If someone else fails to show up for his or her appointment, you can claim that slot. However, if everyone who is scheduled shows up, you will not be seen.
• If you cannot be seen as a walk-in throughout the day, take advantage of our designated walk-in times Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 12 and 3. You may sign up for a designated walk-in any time during the day you wish to be seen by visiting the Writing Center and adding your name to the sign-up sheet located on the front desk. Please be aware that designated walk-in consultations are broken into 3 15-minute mini sessions; however, if you are the only student to sign up for a particular time, you will receive a full 45-minute consultation. Please plan accordingly.
