Visitor Policies

Visitor Policies

The Welcome Center is our first line of defense in regulating vehicular access onto the campus. Vehicles that do not properly display current Methodist University parking permits are stopped and their driver's purpose is determined. Visitor passes and temporary parking permits are issued by the Welcome Center as necessary.

Resident students who wish to have visitors must have them cleared at the Welcome Center before the visitors are allowed onto campus. (See Student Handbook for information pertaining to the Residence Hall visitation policy.)

Students expecting visitors should contact the Welcome Center at (910) 630-7098 before their visitor's arrival to minimize any delay.

Unexpected visitors to residence halls will not be allowed on campus until the person they wish to visit is contacted and authorizes the visit. No unauthorized visitors or vehicles will be allowed on campus. Visitors to the residence halls must provide a valid picture ID at the Welcome Center before being admitted onto the campus.
