McEvoy to Retire as Vice President and Director of Athletics

Methodist University Vice President and Director of Athletics Bob McEvoy has announced his retirement from the University.

McEvoy has served Methodist for 25 years, including the last 19 as its director of athletics. Promoted to director of athletics in 1998, he was given the title of vice president in 2014. Prior to assuming the top position in the department, he served as the head men’s basketball coach from 1992-1999, and as an assistant professor of physical education from 1995-2000.

Methodist University Announces 2017 Faculty Award Recipients

Four Methodist University faculty members recently received honors and awards. The award winners were recognized at the University’s annual commencement dinner on May 5 in Davis Memorial Library.

“I am proud of our accomplished faculty who are true scholars and teachers, who excel in the classroom, who care for our students, and who enjoy research and produce creative works,” said Dr. Delmas Crisp, University Provost. “Our students feel the same way about them, too.”

Methodist University Opens Nominations for RSB Symposium Awards

Nominations for the Third Annual Reeves School of Business Symposium and Awards Dinner are now open to the general public. Seven awards will be given at this year’s Symposium, which will be held Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017 at Embassy Suites Fayetteville/Fort Bragg.
