MU on the Move! Invites Alumni and
Friends to Join the Journey in 2013!
Under the leadership of President Ben Hancock, Jr., MU is truly on the Move! He and other representatives of MU will be traveling across the country to meet with alumni and share exciting new developments at the University! Attend an event near you and learn about the new Campus Master Plan and the MU Journey designed to enhance student success. We'll also discuss how you can plug in and Join the Journey through the emerging Monarch Network, which involves Career Assistance, Student Recruitment, Advisory Boards, Senior and Visiting Fellows, Regional Outreach, and other initiatives.

The most recent alumni event in the MU on the Move! series was hosted by the Charlotte Alumni Steering Group and featured a day at the Queen's Cup Steeplechase with an MU tent on the rail at Heartbreak Hill. Carlos McCracken '69 gives a thumbs up below for a great day at the races!
Several MU on the Moves! were held in conjunction with the MU Chorale's spring concert tour, in Wilmington, NC; Myrtle Beach, SC; and Charleston, SC. Below is former choral director Alan Porter directing the Chorale in the Methodist Alma Mater at the Wilmington event.
The Charlotte MU Alumni Chapter held a Social at The Music Factory March 7 and MU on the Move! was there!
The most recent MU on the Move! was held in Richmond, VA at The Boathouse Restaurant at Rocketts Landing in February. Alums came from as far away as Charlottesville and Virginia Beach!
MU on the Move! went to Orlando, FL during the PGA Show at the Convention Center in January. Over 90 PGM alumni, faculty, and friends gathered to socialize and hear from President Hancock and others about MU's programs and progress.
An MU on the Move! was held in Fayetteville on the MU campus in late November 2012 in conjunction with the Annual All Choirs Concert, with alumnus Richard Butler '88's Southview H.S. choir performing along with the MU Choral groups. Below, Dr. Hancock introduces SGA President Will Patton to say a few words to the alumni, Faculty, and students at the reception.

Dr. Ben Hancock, President, and Methodist University alumni in the Pittsburgh,
PA area met May 22, 2012 at Braddock's American Brasserie
Over 70 MU Alumni and retired and current Faculty and Staff gathered
in the elegant new Reeves Auditorium Lobby for the May 10 MU on the
Move!
