Alumni Events Upcoming Events Monarch Booster Club Hall of Fame Golf Tournament The Hall of Fame Golf Tournament, held the first Friday of June at King’s Grant Golf and Country Club, continues to grow! A portion of the proceeds from alumni registrations supports the Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund. The lowest scoring alumni team wins the prestigious Lowdermilk Award. Every year during the Annual Conference of the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church (NCCUMC), Methodist University hosts an event for alumni, ministers, and friends to gather together and fellowship. This year Methodist hosted dinner for alumni and friends on Thursday, June 11 at 5:30 p.m. at St. James United Methodist Church in Greenville, N.C. Attendees enjoyed pulled pork BBQ, fried chicken, beans, coleslaw, hush puppies, potatoes, and iced tea. The new history of Methodist University's first 50 years by Bill Billings '68 was available, and President Elton Hendricks gave a University update highlighting the new Minor in Church Leadership and the upcoming on-campus performance of Ride, Ride, a play about John Wesley.
