MU Young Monarch Women's Basketball Experience

We invite you to join us on Saturday, February 2, 2013, on the Methodist University campus for the annual Board of Visitors MU Young Monarch Women's Basketball/Cheer/Dance Experience. Be our guest to watch the Monarchs in action. Admission is FREE! All school age youth, their coaches, and families are welcome. The event includes t-shirts, free admission to the Lady Monarchs vs. Mary Baldwin College game, exciting pre-game events/prizes, and a meet-and-greet with the Lady Monarchs following the game with autograph opportunities. Sponsors for the event include First Citizens, Professional Women of Fayetteville, Jeb Designs, Callahan & Rice, Tile Inc., Bleeker Electric Car Company, Walsingham Group, and Wells Fargo Advisors. 2012 Board of Visitors Golf Tournament

Methodist University held its seventh annual Board of Visitors Golf Tournament on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012. This unique walking tournament held on the University's private golf course, pairs Methodist Professional Golf Management students with community members. Freshmen and sophomores serve as caddies, while a junior or senior plays on each team. Pictured here is the winning team with a top score of 132 is (from L to R:) Robbie Fritz, PGA Head Golf Professional, MU Student; Charles Maness; Scott Hopson, Adam Burdette, and Jim Pittman. Each team member received Titleist drivers.

Mission of the Board

  1. To serve as an advisory council to the faculty, staff, president and Board of Trustees.
  2. To be informed citizens about the structure and operations of the College and to serve as goodwill ambassadors for the College in the community.
  3. To assist the College in developing financial resources through both identification and introduction of friends of the College.
  4. To assist in identifying and recruiting students in specific geographical areas.
  5. To provide the College with lecturers, community symposia, presentations, and/or demonstrations in various fields of expertise.
  6. To provide advice for and assistance in enhancing the image and credibility of the College among a broader constituency
