Dianna Cordero holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Campbell University. Mx. Cordero is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a Certified Clinical Military Counselor. Mx Cordero has worked with college student populations since her sophomore year in 2007 when she began working as a residential advisor. Ever since then, she has worked closely with children and adults concerning their mental health needs with great passion. Mx. Cordero's general approach to counseling involves connecting thoughts, feelings, and behavior, and generating greater awareness of their influences on each other. She is also EMDR basic-trained. Areas of interest and specialized practice include depression, anxiety, LGBT and gender issues, stress reduction, mindfulness and creative interventions. Prior to her employment with Methodist University, Mx. Cordero interned at the Center for Personal Development for a full year and worked at a mental health agency specializing in behaviorally and emotionally disturbed youth.
